I picked up this cheap-ish French wine for $11.95 this past weekend. C’est la Vie is a blend of Pinot Noir and Syrah that has a light ruby-red color with sharp berry jam and cherry notes on the aroma. On the palate the wine is dry and full of tart cranberries and raspberries with an oaky presence and a light to medium body. The finish is dry, spicy with a medium length.
The wine is easy to drink with a heavy fruit and oaky presence, but I found it a little too light for me. The tart notes are easy to build up and if you are not into acidic wines, then look elsewhere.
