Best. Name. Ever! OK, maybe not ever, maybe the best one I have heard/seen this month, but still. Grow a Pear comes from Double Trouble Brewing, the guys who brought you Hops and Robbers, French Press Vanilla Stout and many more.
This pear cider has a light golden color and stanks of funky fresh tart pears. Also some green apples. The mouthfeel is surprisingly soft at the start with a bit less carbonation than expected. The pears hit you immediately and fill your mouth with a bold flavor that lingers for a long time. There is a good level of sweetness that resembles that of a fresh pear, but there is also a touch of tartness to give the cider some finishing crispness and a very refreshing overall feel.
Unlike other ciders that have a level of funkness and are overly acidic, this one is very well balanced and resembles a spike pear juice than a cider. I love it!
Great cider! Will buy again…in cases.
